Join Mahj with Kelly at the Social Society for an introduction into the wonderful world of MAHJONG and learn why this game has captured hearts for generations. This is a 4 hour crash course where you will learn the basics of American Mahjong in a relaxed, judgment-free setting where curiosity and laughter are encouraged.

- Understand Mahjong history and goal of the game.
- Learn the meaning of all 152 tiles.
- Overview of the National Mahjong League Card and how to read it.
- Play a game of mahjong and you just may be the one to experience the thrill of calling MAHJONG!
- Expect cheerful guidance, helpful tips, and lots of “a-ha!” moments as everything starts to click.
No experience required – just bring your sense of fun and a willingness to learn. Mahjong is part strategy, part tradition, and part social magic. This class is the perfect place to begin your Mahjong journey.
No Refunds. Please note that ticket price includes a 4 hour crash course (equal to 2 classes but all in one). This course is designed to build on the knowledge gained in the class before. If you are unable to attend one of the dates, we unfortunately cannot accommodate a make-up session or refund.
Because our Mahjong classes are limited-capacity, ticketed experiences, all tickets are non-refundable. Our cancellation policy is in place to help us thoughtfully plan and provide the best experience for our guests and staff.
